How Could You by Jennifer Rene Daniel

By Jennifer Rene Daniel

Ah World, how could you turn your head
When Jesus came to Earth
Ignore-despise-the miracle
The wonder of His birth?

How could you close your stubborn ears
To all He had to say
How could you blind your seeing eyes
To miracles each day?

How could you send Him to the Cross
To suffer, bleed, and die?
Ah world, it was the Lamb of God
You there did crucify!

Today your hardened hearts still close
To what He came to do
Oh World, repent, acknowledge Him
His blood was shed for you!

Life is good and going at a fast pace. Balancing blogging and family at this time of the year means something has to give. It isn't family!!

I just absolutely loved, loved, loved all the wonderful responses to my Blogging Tips. I hope it helped some of you lurkers out there?? It sure helped me. Now, I am heading into the Christmas Season and blogging just has to take the back seat to baking and family time.

I will post this month as I have time but they will be short and simple. I will share some of my recipes just as soon as I start baking on Saturday. I love to make Christmas cookies!!!

Blogging Tips & WholeHearted Home Wednesdays

Blogging Tips??
Just for Fun!!

What blogging tips could you share this week?

If any of these questions peeks an interest and you feel like sharing, just comment below and we'll have a conversation about blogging tips!! Just for fun!!

  • How did you set up your Header? Did you pay to have it done, or did you use Picmonkey? How did you size it? How do you go about placing your header in the template?
  • Do you take your own photos or do you use a 'free' service? Which one(s) are your favorite? If you take your own photos, how did you learn?
  • How do YOU go about finding a background for your blog? Do you pay someone to set this up? Do you use backgrounds from Blogger or Word Press? Do you use a 'free' background from a blog? If so, which one(s) are your favorite? How do you size it? How do you get that pesky old template off?
  • Do you like a white, open, wide reading area without a busy design for your background? or do you prefer a cute background?
  • Do you have drop-down tabs at the top? Did you install them yourself? If you did, how did you go about doing this?
  • How do YOU keep up with blogging and mothering? Are you able to basically keep a balance between caring for your husband, mothering, housework, homeschooling, and blogging?
  • Blog first or Bible first?? Which do you find yourself doing??
  • Be real :-)

NOTHING shall be IMPOSSIBLE!!

Today I want you to take a moment and sloooooooow dooooown with me and take the time to reflect on whatever is racing through your mind that seems impossible. After a wonderful weekend, there are soo many things that I am behind on today, so much is on my 'list' that I MUST do TODAY. I must NOT neglect to spend time with God and sometimes that means I must slow down.

Slow down with me, won't you??

I read this passage of Scripture from Luke 1:26-38 just this morning and was struck by the words, "For with God NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE." I thought of my day-to-day concerns, you know, those normal trials we face in our everyday life.

Those things we think of as we are folding laundry, or reading to our children. You don't think of something entirely different while you are reading? Why I can do that to a fault!! I remember reading to my children and not having my mind on the story at all. I would have to ask my children questions when we were done (since we homeschooled and I was the teacher) to get an idea of what had just been read. All the while my mind would be traversing the worries of life.

So, slow down, and meditate on this passage and please read it (don't skip it) and see if God will show you something through the miraculous conception of Mary who was a virgin:

And in the Sixth month the angel Gabriel
was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,
To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph,
of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
And the angel came in unto her, and said,
Hail, thou that art highly favoured,
the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.
And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying,
and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.
And the angel said unto her,
Fear not,
Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb,
and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
He shall be great, and shall give unto him the throne of his father David:
And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever;
and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
Then said Mary unto the angel,
How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?
And the angel answered and said unto her,
The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee,
and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth,
she hath also conceived a son in her old age:
and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.
FOR WITH GOD NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE!!!
And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord;
be it unto me according to thy word.
And the angel departed from her.

I hope you didn't skim through this passage. Meditating on Scripture comes through slowing down and digesting God's Word into your heart so it can transform your mind.

Like I was saying, Mary was a virgin. That means she had had NO physical intimacy with a man. For her to get pregnant was IMPOSSIBLE.

When I read the words, "For with God NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE" a light bulb went off in my head (a lightbulb moment?) and thought how Mary became pregnant through the Holy Ghost though getting pregnant without physical intimacy is absolutely impossible.

You might have an impossible situation in your relationship with your husband, or financial impossibilities of debt, tight finances, or maybe you have five children under six, or like a friend once had...four children under four, or do you have a wayward child who is rebelling against the God you love (a pain that goes deep in a mama) where it seems improbable that they will turn, and all these trials seem impossible. Absolutely impossible!!

This Christmas Season, take the time each day to slow down and reflect on Jesus' coming to earth as a baby to save our sins. It was impossible for Jesus to be conceived in Mary's womb without physical intimacy from a man. Jesus was God. Jesus could NOT be conceived through Joseph as he was merely a man. It was impossible, highly improbable, yet "For with God NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE." Shall is emphatic!! It shouts the POSSIBLE when it is IMPOSSIBLE!!

Jesus cares for what concerns you today. He cares for what has been racing through your mind this morning as you rushed through your daily routines in order to get to those extra things 'calling your name.' Jesus, through this passage is telling you, "For with God NOTHING SHALL BE IMPOSSIBLE!!"

(Click above for the complete lyrics and hymn story: it is quite a testimony)

Matthew 19:26
"But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them,
With men this is impossible;
but with God all things are possible."

by Eugene L. Clark, 1925-1982

Nothing is impossible when you put your trust in God;
Nothing is impossible when you're trusting in His Word.
Hearken to the voice of God to thee:
"Is there anything too hard for Me?"
Then put your trust in God alone and rest upon His Word;
For ev'rything, O, ev'rything,
yes ev'rything is possible with God.

If you wonder how the tune goes:

Christmas by Jennifer Rene Daniel

Christmas
by Jennifer Rene Daniel
The bustle of the Christmas shops
The music blaring loud
I seem to miss the Saviour
in that bright and motley crowd

The prattle of the little tongues
Of all they hope to get
I find the biggest gift of all
Not mentioned-they forget!

The happy songs at Christmas time
Of sleights and silvery bells
I long to hear of Bethlehem
The songs we knew so well

O Saviour, must Thou stand aside
In all this bright array?
So tragically rejected
A meaningless display!

Oh sing thy joyous praise to God
And worship Him anew
Remembering His birth, His Death
Salvation brought to you!
