Versatile Blogger Award
When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours. (Romans 1:12 NLT)
Last week, I was honored to be nominated for (received) the Versatile Blogger Award (VBA) by my blogging friend Wendy at Each Card Tells a Story. The VBA is a way to acknowledge those in the blogging community who have been a blessing to others. I was so shocked and blessed when Wendy left me a comment to tell me she had a surprise over at her blog for me!! I haven't been blogging too long, so all this is so pleasantly new to me. I hope that Wendy is blessed beyond measure for taking the time to think of others. Thank you Wendy!!
In receiving this award, the “rules” are:
- In a post on your blog, nominate up to 15 fellow bloggers for The Versatile Blogger Award. (Include the VBA button and this set of rules, although there is no obligation to participate.)
- Thank the blogger who nominated you and link back to them in this post.
- Share 7 things about yourself that most people don’t know.
- Inform each nominated blogger of their nomination by posting a comment on each of their blogs or by e-mail.
Some of my nominees have received the Versatile Bloggers Award before and are not obligated to participate again. However, they have touched my heart with their writing, and I feel my list would be incomplete without them.
My nominees (in no particular order) are:
- Wendy over at Each Card Tells a Story has blessed me through all she shares on her blog. I just simply have to include her so you all know she is a favorite blogger-friend.
- Nan over at Momstheword was one of the first blogs I found. She blogs with such humor that cheers my day with chuckles. She Makes my Home sing every Monday with her encouragement to bless our family on Mondays!!
- Nita over at Pilgrims Purse & Poetry is a sweet friend I've never met who shares her poetry and knitting tips.
- Mindy over at Momma Mindy's Moments will always be special since she was the second or third blog I found. You've just got to hop over for a visit as she has a unique writing style that takes everyday experiences and turns them into a spiritual lesson along with a good laugh.
- Naomi over at What Joy is Mine such a special blog and sweet spirit. A real favorite of mine!!
- June over at A Wise Woman Builds Her House shares wonderful wisdom and I have also learned some excellent things about blogging from her.
- Esther over at Our Simple Country Life shares cooking ideas and all sorts of wisdom on homemaking.
- Jacinda over at the Growing Home has such a sweet spirit as she shares about homemaking. I just bought her e-book, How to Grow Your Blog and have learned a wealth of information and wisdom from it.
- Marci over at the Thankful Homemaker is just such a special person who shares all sorts of wonderful things about homemaking (step-by-step). I have also been challenged by her evangelism series.
- Cheryl over at Copperswife has a warmth in her writing style as she shares about home-life and homeschooling.
- Kayla over at Kayla Howard shares about T-Tapp which is my favorite and only way to exercise.
- Jacqueline over at Deep Roots at Home shares a wealth of information from her years of experience as a homemaker.
- Jasmine over at Far Above Rubies encourages us to be homemakers. This is another sweet blogger who has shared things she has learned about blogging.
- Naomi over at Starlight and Sunshine shares her beautiful photography.
In Christ Alone,
Judith
Weekly Link Ups:
Thank you sweet friend. Hoping you have a beautiful day.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Judith! Your blog is new to me, but I'm looking forward to reading more.
ReplyDeleteJudie, Thank you so much for including me in your list of bloggers! (I may have to post something. :-)
ReplyDeleteAwwwww, you are so sweet! Thank you, my friend, for this award and for your kind words. I will have to check out some of these blogs as some are new to me. It's always fun to discover a new blog.
ReplyDeleteAlso fun to read some things about you. Hawaii is so beautiful, how fun to have lived there!!! Oh, and in answer to your question: yes, it happened to me, lol! The shoe thing happened several times as I was pregnant and couldn't see my feet. Then it happened when I wasn't pregnant because it was dark in the closet and I just grabbed for my shoes and grabbed the wrong ones. You're right, all we can do is laugh!
Thank you Judith - I probably won't be able to pop by until the weekend again as back to work tomorrow (been on holiday for the past week) ;D
ReplyDeleteLoved reading about your 7 things which we didn't know previously - it's a nice way of getting to know other bloggers.
Thanks for my award too ;D
God bless
Wendy
