The snow is softly falling outside my kitchen window.
Christmas has past; winter has set in for sure!!
The cookies are half eaten;
Decorations leave memories of a very special week together.
The last month was a whirlwind,
My oldest son now has a wonderful new bride.
I am so thankful to the Lord for his new wife, their new life together.
NOW,
Back to Blogging!!
I have been thinking lately that I need to learn better how to give thanks to God.
My thinking too often focuses and wanders through the mire of negativity.
We all have trials and tribulations in life to some degree or other.
I am no exception!!
I have been thinking deeply over the last month about how I desperately want to change that.
How about you??
Can I live constantly being thankful and thinking thoughts of praise?
How can I find deep lasting joy that permeates my being and radiates to others?
Is this really possible?
I am convinced it is possible,
even
for a melancholy person like me!!
How about you??
Each year I write down goals, thoughts, and some scripture verses which will keep me walking in the right direction on my journey this side of Heaven.
This coming year of 2013, I want to focus on:
Thankfulness
Joy
and
Grace
Lifting my heart upward and seeking the Lord Jesus Christ
with all of my being like never before.
As I reflect over the past year of 2012,
these are a few of the things that I found to be thankful for:
As I post this coming year of 2013,
I intend to WholeHeartedly embrace Thanksgiving, Joyfulness, and Grace to the best of where I am in the moments God gives me.
I hope you drop in often to see what my days bring,
From my Home to your Home.

It is nice to be back to blogging.
In 2013 as in 2012, my husband and family come first.
My home will be running smoothly before I post, so I may not always have my posts up and running by 5am!!
My goal is NOT to have LOTS of followers or a MEGA blog. This is just my corner of the bloggisphere and if you happen-on-in, I'd be so pleased that you dropped by. Pull up a comfy chair and a cup-of-tea or coffee and visit my 'neck-of-the-woods. Lets share what the Lord has been doing in our lives as we WholeHeartedly serve our family at Home.
I'd LOVE you to leave a comment!!
Since I live out 'in-the-sticks'... friends, like you are a long ways away!!

ReplyDeleteI love all your pictures. So pretty! Good for you for having your priorities straight. It would just be too easy to get lost on the internet and neglect our homes! Congrats on the new daughter-in-law. So, is this the first time one of your children has married? (I can't remember)
ReplyDeleteThankfulness, Joy and Grace! What great, words to think about this new year. I'm looking forward to reading your inspiring posts in 2013. God bless you my friend.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog, Judith. You have blessed me so many times. Such good words for 2013. Good pictures but the nest of birds spoke to me of waiting for God to feed me. He never leaves me wanting.
ReplyDeleteThanks!! Those pictures hold such memories from the past year. I just have to learn a bit about photography :-) though. Yes, you remembered right, Nan, my oldest son just got married!!!!! He is 29 so I am quite the please Mom...and she is such a sweet girl. It was just so wonderful to have them home for a week over Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am counting!! We'll have to keep reminding each other of all we are thankful for :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I just love what you said about those tiny birds and wanting God to feed me. Count me in on that too. I'll just have to ask you when I want the metaphorical thinking to kick in. You are ahead on me there by far.
ReplyDeleteIt is so good to *see* you again!! Can't wait to visit you too!!
