'Dog Days' of Summer
I'm looking forward to the 'dog days' of summer, aren't you?? This is Malka and she is camera shy and feeling dejected. She runs away whenever she sees me with my camera but today she couldn't escape so easily. She kept going behind the rocking chairs on my front porch and putting her head behind them. Yes, that is snow on her head and NO she does NOT come inside!! And NO, I am not particularly a 'dog person' of big huge dogs. I did think you would like a glimpse into my life? I am looking forward to feeling warm and even hot instead of shivering!!
I am looking forward to summer but I am looking forward to the return of Jesus even more!!
"Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

Thanks, Judith, for featuring Bullets and Bibles. It's an honor to be featured on your blog. : )
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome!! You are such a blessing to so many other bloggers and you have so much to share.
DeleteWow, she's big. Is she a St. Bernard? How do you keep her warm in the winter?
ReplyDeleteI love big dogs but because of my allergies I can never have one. I thought about having an outside dog but don't know how to keep it warm when it snows. A garage is just too cold for those low temperatures and I couldn't have it inside. Bad for my allergies/asthma. What do you do? Thanks for hosting today!
Yes, she is a St.Bernard but she stays outside on our covered porch. She never seems cold because these dogs were made for the cold. I can't have a dog inside, just a cat. We had Golden Retrieves for 20 years. I loved them but this dog has settled down into a nice dog. She used to get so happy that she would jump up on my shoulders.
DeleteJudith...Malka is just adorable. I love dogs and we've always had medium to large dogs with the exception of two small dogs, one who resides with us now. Our largest dog weighed in at 120 lbs! We used to joke he was part bear. Ha ha! And yes they are inside dogs but they love the outdoors, too. Thank you for hosting and for sharing your featured blogs. Blessings to you dear friend.
ReplyDeleteMalka has become a really good dog. I do miss having Golden Retrievers though. She has been a pain but is settling down as she matures. You are such a blessing.
DeleteEven though I am thankful for every season, I am looking forward to Summer too; it's been a long and really cold winter here!
ReplyDeletePrecious dog; glad you were able to feature him in your post-ha!
Blessings and love,
Denise
Judith ~ Thanks for hosting the Link-up! Unlike you, I am not looking forward to summer. I grew up in Minnesota, and I used to feel that way, longing for summer in those long winter months of January and February. However, three years ago, God "displaced" us to Florida. Winter time is our time to be outside, open our windows, take walks and enjoy the weather. Come summer, we are shut up in our air-conditioned homes (sort of like winter except with heat). I guess there is no paradise this side of Heaven. I, too, long for the day when Jesus will return. Maranatha, come Lord Jesus!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Judith. I love big dog. Malka is beautiful. Thank you or hosting again!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Judith! I must say that I am not at all looking forward to the heat of summer! I love a cold rainy or winter day over any other! Isn't that funny? While some people get depressed or down in the cooler weather, I am more likely to be bummed when it's hot! It takes all types, eh? :)
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely day and thanks for the linkup. I'm hosting my Homemaking Linkup if you've not yet joined. New linky starts late tonight!

I am working through some blog issues and my button is on my list. For now, maybe you could just use a word link or download the picture of the button and paste the link?
DeleteWhat a sweet doggie! Thanks for the lovely features & for hosting & God bless!
ReplyDeleteI am also one of those that can't wait until the dog days of summer!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for featuring my post, what a surprise it was when I saw! :)
ReplyDeleteWhile I am sure you are looking forward to summer, I am enjoying the rare sight of snow falling down today! We live in southern AZ, so we have PLENTY of hot summer days. Having a cold, cloudy, snowy day has actually turned into a treat! I never thought I would say that after living in TN, MI, and PA growing up, but it's true!
Wowee those are big dogs. It's funny when the big giant dogs are scared of things like cameras.
ReplyDelete"to meet the LORD in the air..." Oh what a day that will be!!!! :)
Until then, I look forward to summer ever single day.
