I started blogging about a year-and-a-half-ago and have found it to be the most encouraging outlet in my life. Somehow, when you give to others through writing your thoughts down on a screen, there is such a blessing in the sharing.
I want you ladies to know that I started with two 'followers'. Two of my children who had encouraged me to blog.
There may not be more than a handful of sweet readers as often we are drawn to another blog and another more successful and greater than the last. A blog where things are shared 'just right' and with unique wording.
What I want you ladies who faithfully read my blog to know, is that I want to glorify God through blogging. I want to blog for Christ and secondarily for you.
This prayer from 'A Holy Experience' is my prayer also:
A Blogger’s Prayer
I'd LOVE you to leave a comment!!

I loved the blogger's prayer. I had never thought about it quite like that. It's so very true though. As a Christian, I don't know who reads my blog and I need to remember that and write for His glory. Always.
ReplyDeleteI am new here but am already enjoying it very much. There is so much sadness in the world, it is easy to become discourage. I love the few blogs I folow that encourage me/others to look to Jesus instead of the worries of the world.
Thank you!
Beautiful, beautiful. I think it's obvious that this is your prayer as you share your lovely, uplifting posts, Judith! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteJudith, I was just telling my husband about the upside blogging last night! How that prayer and concept transformed my blogging when I first read and adopted it a few years ago. God has given us a women a mission to encourage each other on this platform... sometimes the "numbers" seem like no one hears... but God does and he sends just-the-right-ones he wants to hear our crazy lives and our crazy love in following Him through it! I pray God sends you all the just-right encouragement to know His call is being made perfect in your obedience here at Wholehearted Home!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Judith! It's sweet blogging friends like you that help make the experience so rewarding! Hope you have a great Wednesday!

ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny that I just found the Blogger's Prayer?? It really blessed me.

HI Judith
ReplyDeleteThanks for your encouraging comment on my decision to stop blogging. Actually, it was one of your blogposts that God used to convict me. It said something along the lines that a mom should never stay online at the cost of her family. It just hit home.
I have young kids, this is demanding in and of itself. And I spent SO much time blogging becauuse I thoroughly enjoyed it, but at times, yes, it was at the cost of playing or being with my kids.
At first, I tried to ignore the post you wrote, I tried to forget about it - but it kept coming back to me. And, I know shutting down the blog is the right thing to do.
So, yes, you are glorifying God through your blog. And through it, you've become such a dear friend.
I'll be sure to still stop in - you've changed my life tremendously.
May God bless you and thanks again, for stopping by, and taking the time to always encourage me!!
