I Slipped OFF the BLOGISPHERE!! Faves & More!!

Yes!! I most definitely did!!

They used to say that the world was flat and many explorers went on an adventure across the ocean to see if that were true!! Many got lost at sea and never came back. Today, many sail the adventurous seas of the blogisphere. Some drown in their unread Reader and others slip off never to be heard of again!! I have been blogging just long enough to notice that some blogs I once visited are no longer active as they slipped over the edge and back down to earth.

Well, here I am!!

You thought you'd no longer see me in your inbox or RSS feed, Facebook, Twitter, or whatever. Sorry. I'm back!! <Wink>

And I'm here to tell of my adventures out on another planet called earth. You see, for almost two weeks I was 'down to earth' and galavanting around with my sweet hubby.

At first, all was well in my blogisphere because I had posts scheduled ahead. Then, when we returned, I was inundated with laundry and cobwebs (yes, cobwebs) as I recuperated from a wonderful time. Then, three of my children returned from South Africa and the laundry piles and stories of their times as short-term missionaries was shared. Our super quiet home took on life once more and the cobwebs couldn't form as the spiders have been scared away. Did I ever tell you that I find joy in sucking those spiders up with my vacuum hose?!

Needless to say, I couldn't keep up with WholeHearted-Home Wednesdays, and my posting fell to the sidelines. Maybe the vacuum hose is to blame??

It was like a honeymoon all over again after 33 years. First, we stopped by Lancaster County on the start of our special adventure. We enjoyed the wholesome atmosphere and the wonderful country food.

Then, we went to the Outer Banks. Crowds had left for home; school was starting. This has always been our favorite time for a vacation; but this was different, without a van full of kids!!

The weather was gloriously warm. Don't be fooled by pictures where the wind is evidenced. It was nice and hot!! Here are some moments captured from our adventure:

We took walks on the beach during the afternoon or evening.
This beach we found when we were leaving.

Shells!! A handful of shells!! I hadn't found shells since I was a teenager; since we seldom have gone to the crowded beaches.

There are four lighthouses along the coast.
We visited three.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying,
I am the light of the world:
he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness,
but shall have the light of life.
(John 8:12)

Tomorrow is
WholeHearted-Home Wednesday!!
I suppose now you understand why I didn't get WHHW posted last week!!
Actually, I'll blame it on the laundry as I was home already.

All the ladies who linked up with me two weeks ago had wonderful things to share and I wanted to post them all as my FAVES!! But you can go here and read them in case you missed them.

Here is a sweet new bloggie-friend who visits my blog. Michele's recent post is a MUST read!! She writes over at Teagan's Travels with some wonderful, open posts about life that I am sure you will enjoy as much as I have.

Whether your hair is awesomely thick or beautifully fine, you will love these Flexi Clips that stay in your hair without slipping. I have looked for years
for a product that will hold all my hair, look pretty, while being functional. I haven't found a clip as good as these in years!!

  4. Judith, what a wonderful reason to disappear! It sounds like you had such an incredible time with your husband, and catching up with some of your children! Great pictures, I'm sure you'll cherish some sweet memories. My husband and I are getting ready to take our first vacation EVER together in a couple weeks, to...guess where?? THE OUTER BANKS. :) This post has gotten me SUPER excited to fall of the blogosphere for a bit!

    1. Tyanne, that is unbelievable!! We have only been away alone together about 4 or 5 times in 29 years. This has only happened in the last 3 years, so this was super special since it was 10 days!! Circumstances beyond impossible and now it is possible. It was such a blessing.

I hope you have the most wonderful time together!!
